Public school begins in Washington County on Wednesday, August 19. Families with school-age children are busy shopping for all the necessary items to stock student’s backpacks for this new academic year.
Students and parents are invited to worship on Sunday, August 16 and to bring their stocked backpacks with them. During the service, Pastor will invite students to come forward to the chancel rail with their backpacks for the first annual “blessing of the backpacks”. We will ask for God’s blessing for the student, his/her family, teachers and school personnel that this new academic year may go well for everyone.
