Tom and Kristy Smith and their daughter, Laurin, came to Trinity during a church shopping period in 2001. They never left. Natives of Pennsylvania and New York respectively, the Smiths have lived in several cities thanks to Kristy’s previous job. These days, life is in Rohrersville. Tom works as a manufacturing engineer at Fairchild Controls in Frederick, and Kristy is Programs and Communications Manager for the Community Foundation of Washington County. Laurin is currently in her second year at the United States Coast Guard Academy, majoring in Naval Architecture. CGA is in New London, Connecticut.

At Trinity, Kristy is involved in many things: both choirs, music and worship, youth ministry, and the property committee. She also heads up the First Friday Fellowship opportunities with the help of Tom and Joe Donovan. Tom serves on the property committee, and is looking forward to learning to run the new sound system.

The Smiths enjoy many things about Trinity. The steadfast support of their “church” friends, the combination of new and old, young and mature families that make up our congregation, and having a place to go each week to honor God for the many blessings He has bestowed upon them.

Say hello to the Smiths next time you see them. Just don’t spend too much time with Kristy or she will give you something to do!
