REACH of Washington County is a faith-based, non-profit organization birthed in 1990 when a group of compassionate people agreed to make themselves available 24 hours a day for emergencies such as motel placements for homeless families, food, prescription medication and more. Today, REACH partners with the faith community to operate a year-round Day Resource Center where county residents facing housing crises or having other urgent needs can come for resources, referrals and a listening ear.  With the help of local faith groups and more than 1500 volunteers REACH runs a Cold Weather Shelter for homeless adults complete with case management to help clients move from homelessness to self sufficiency. And the original 24-Hour Crisis program continues to address urgent housing needs that arise after normal office hours.
