About the B.A.G. Ladies
Funny name, warm hearts, great ministry! B.A.G. stands for Bountiful Angels of God. Trinity's B.A.G. Ladies meet for social purposes and for outreach in a variety of ways--many through the donating of "bags" of items to meet specific needs.
For example, sewn bags accompanied one member on a mission trip to Guatemala filled with basic medical supplies and hygenic needs. Other bags are filled with items needed for children in Hagerstown who don't have the financial means to bring needed items on school field trips. B.A.G. Ladies also spearhead the congregation's donation of bags (in the form of boxes) for Operation Christmas Child, which delivers shoeboxes filled with toys, candy and other items to needy children around the world.
B.A.G.s fulfill many other needs inside and outside the congregation each year--and have lots of fun in the process. Can anyone say dessert? Below is information on our newest project.
K.I.T. Young Adult Ministry -
K.I.T. (Keeping In Touch) is our newest ministry and outreach to those young adults from our church who recently "left the nest" either because of new jobs, college, or military service.
We plan to mail care packages twice a year and send cards or notes of encouragement year-round.
The BAG Ladies will ocassionally ask for donations from the congregation for these care packages. Examples of donations we seek:
$5 gift cards from Wal-Mart
$5 gift cards to fast-food restaurants
$5 cash donations (for postage and handling)
gum, mints, individually wrapped candy (nothing that would melt in the mail, please)
Peanut butter (squeezy kind)
Chapstick
Band Aids
Tissues
Popcorn
Single serve soup
Crackers other snacks
Hot cocoa
Single serving drink mix (Crystal Lite, Wylers, etc.) The ones you add to a bottle of water.
Ramen noodles
Please place donations in the box marked accordingly in the church kitchen or call LaRhonda Eslick if you have questions or suggestions. (Please give cash donations directly to the church office or a BAG Lady.) Read about our latest efforts.
