Aloha everyone!  We’re still feeling the buzz of a GREAT week at our Lava Lava Luau Summer Day Camp.

Since it was our first time trying a week with FULL days, we limited enrollment to 25 kids. They had such a fun-packed, faith-building time of it and we had a blast too. A magic show, bouncy-house, games, crafts, science experiments, Bible study, a visit by Pat the dog, petting zoo, bees and field trips to the Bowman House for historical demonstrations as well as a fitness class at Fit in Boonsboro. I don’t know how we packed it all in, but we did and had a great time getting to know all these terrific kids. Thank you to the parents for sharing them with us!

Thank you, thank you also to all our Trinity volunteers and Pastor Karl who helped make this week of affordable fun possible – especially a huge thanks to Jen Poffenberger who spearheaded the project.

The Day Camp was an outreach service to Boonsboro families with kids paying just a fraction of the cost of regular Day Camp and Trinity picking up the remainder of the costs.  Next year, we hope to be able to host more than 25 kids.
