Trinity Lutheran continues to look for donations of food and funds to help bridge the gap for those in need at this time.

The South County Food Pantry, which is housed at Trinity, had to close in early March for a number of reasons, including concerns for the health of their older volunteers.

Since then, Trinity has worked to gather donations to provide food for the temporary Pantry on the Go being held at Willow Brook Seventh Day Adventist in Boonsboro each Friday from 11am to 1pm.  The South County Food Pantry will meet again in early to mid June to decide if they can re-0pen.

Until then, we continue to need your help to provide food.  Items needed for the distribution on June 5th are below.

We are planning on 25 families this week since we find that fewer families come in the beginning of the month.

Here are the items we are looking for this week in amounts of 25.

Packages/boxes instant rice
Small onions
Cans tuna
Cans pinto beans
Packages of dry Ranch dressing
Packages taco seasoning
Containers of grated parmesan
8 Five pound bags of red potatoes

Also, general non-perishables:
Pancake mix
Syrup
Cereal
Oatmeal
Canned fruits/veggies
Granola bars
Canned chicken
Small bags of granulated sugar or flour

We already have enough spaghetti/sauce for this week.

Since our staff is working from home, no one is at Trinity regularly right now.  So items can be dropped off to the porch of 800 Brookridge Drive, Boonsboro.  That’s in the Crestview development.  Just ring the bell and someone will come out to get the donations and take them in.
